Cavatina Hall

Cavatina Hall is a multifunctional complex located in the heart of Bielsko-Biala, which combines modern office space and cultural function. It was implemented on the initiative of a private investor, Cavatina Holding, and put into operation at the end of 2021. The interior of the distinctive glass dome conceals first of all the concert hall, equipped with the latest technological solutions that allow you to organize concerts of world-class artists and symphony orchestras, as well as congresses and conferences for 1000 people. The building also houses a professional recording studio and a chamber hall with an auditorium for 100 people.

The specialized theater company was responsible for the complex design and execution of stage technologies in the field of lighting, stage mechanics and film equipment.

A complete power and control installation for the stage lighting system was carried out. As part of the power distribution system, the venue was equipped with, among other things, an advanced ETC Sensor3 dimming system (278 circuits of 3 kW with configurable operating modes). Power and signals are delivered to the moving lighting bridges via specialised cable reels.

More than 250 lighting devices were delivered and installed m.in. 60pcs. common MCM 750W and 24PCS pairs ETC. LDR Note PC 1200 + as part of the orchestra lighting system, as well as 36pcs. ETC Source Four LED Zoom headlight profile with 15°-30° and 25°-50° optics, 6 pcs. SPOTLIGHT RGBW 450 LED profile with 8°-19° optics, 18 pcs. PC type of spotlights – spotlight PC LED 450WW or 2 pcs. followspots SPOTLIGHT VEDETTE LED450 RGBW.

An innovative performer-tracking system implemented in the Concert Hall makes it possible to follow artists or objects on stage with light precisely and in real time.

House lighting and working-light circuits are controlled by an HDL BUS Pro system, which includes, among other things, a set of contactor modules in the dimmer room, 10 wall panels at the hall exits and a PPO touch panel in the lighting booth that can also lock the other panels.

From the field of lower stage mechanics, PS Theatre was responsible for designing and supplying a system of three stage hatches-sequentially in 40, 80 and 120cm increments-used to change the flat surface of the stage floor into a stepped system. Each hatch includes 5 power units consisting of
from Canadian spiral lifts, dual-brake motors, encoders and limit switches. It should be emphasized that the power units of each hatch are not connected by a common shaft, but are electronically synchronized. It is controlled via a touch panel, and everything is monitored by a sophisticated security system.

In the area of over-stage machinery, 7 lighting bridges, 5 loudspeaker bridges, a screen bridge and 10 fixed loudspeaker battens were designed and built. In addition, 18 chain hoists with a working load of 500 kg were installed beneath the technical ceiling. Everything is controlled by a dedicated system with a touch-screen console.

The stage machinery scope also included a MILOS modular system for suspending and multi-level positioning of lighting fixtures, consisting of 70 “H” and “T” modules and 20 deck plates, while the rooftop concert area was fitted with a complete, extensive Quadro290 aluminium truss system.

As part of the cinema and multimedia technology, a large-format image projection system with the necessary accompanying infrastructure was created. Technical solutions based on the latest standards in the field of film technology are used to organize professional film projections (including premiere ones) in accordance with the recommendations of the World DCI Organization. The key elements of the system are: screen build prod. Gerriets with an expanded projection canvas about m. 12 & # 215;8.5 m, BARCO laser film projector with 35000lm brightness, with a chip that creates an image using 1.38” 4K DLP technology, a content server for cinemas and a surround sound processor for cinemas.

On behalf of Przedsiębiorstwo Specjalistyczne TEATR, the stage technology design was prepared by Tomasz Zaborowski, MSc Eng., and Paweł Ziomecki, MSc Eng.

Offering ideal acoustic conditions and first-class technical facilities, the Cavatina Hall concert hall has become the undisputed pride of the capital of the Podbeskidzie region.
