CKK Jordanki (Toruń)
The building was designed by the world-renowned Spanish architect Fernando Menis, and its architectural concept draws inspiration from Toruń’s Gothic heritage. The monumental form of the venue combines contemporary architecture with historical references, creating a unique space dedicated to culture.
A distinctive feature of the façade is the use of white concrete, whose rawness and massive character refer to the tradition of Gothic brick architecture. Another unique design solution is “picado” — an innovative technology involving the use of crushed concrete mixed with brick fragments for the interior finishes of the halls. This solution provides excellent acoustic properties while simultaneously emphasizing the exceptional character of the interiors.
The project included comprehensive stage technology solutions, including the stage layouts of the Main Hall and the Chamber Hall, drapery systems, stage lifts, lighting bridges, flying systems, as well as the optimum design of the auditorium profile.
The stage lighting system incorporates modern technological solutions, including ETC Sensor dimmer racks, moving head luminaires, and advanced LED systems, ensuring the highest quality of light and complete creative freedom for stage productions.
